As I flap and giggle
I see my father smile
I feel my mom's eyes giving me love
Not everyone sees me as they do
Some look at me with disgust
Some look at me with sadness
I am constantly happy
I smile almost non stop
My brother Snow, 11 months older
Get's mad I do not speak
He talks enough for both of us
I play my tablet, I watch TV
I taught myself how to count
I taught myself my ABC's
I am a very happy boy
Please remember that
Don't view Autism as a disability
Don't view me as a disease
Just let me be me
@erodedthoughts - Keep loving your son. Keep teaching his brother to do the same. And no matter how the world looks at him, make sure he knows he is uniquely and wonderfully made.
Always, he is my best bud. He has many brothers and sisters, he is overly loved and protected.
He is so lucky to have an army of sibling, they all are. There will always be someone on their side if they need help.
Plus papa bear will always beat anyone who messes with his cubs :)
Technology is a one of the keys to help unlocking those on the spectrum
He's so handsome. No one will ever view you as anything other than an Angel
I simply love this poem!!! You describe so well what's going on with your son!!!
Thank you
