I think it would improve the effectiveness of this campaign to provide a freebie with this crowdfunding campaign. Something simple to link to (without demanding an email), but which requires you to read the page. And would be interesting enough to want to share.
So let's brainstorm,
Some Ideas:
- Pics of the CG model of the library sketch.
- A printable poster / infographic.
- Ability to vote on some aspect of the future plan?
- A form to take your name and a note. Print up a pdf of pages of these "signed" notes in a typographic style.
- List of top collectible books for the next decade.
- Guide to library research.
- Extract tidbits from classic books on the usefulness of libraries.
But what does the average person want to see?
- Personal playlist of music while reading.
- Sign up for a nonphysical library / book-sharing system?
- Or just a detailed plan for a nonphysical library.
- flashy sales page of this project.
Well, I'm at a loss. If this were an art project I might just do a quick sketch of what I was creating and share that...
Actually, I could do the same thing. A blend between a sales page and a breakdown of the business. Like a pamphlet you might make available to a prospective member.
Start with a very simple and typographic presentation of the facilities offered. Then use sketches and simple renders to fill in the white space.
