Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said:

رحم الله رجلا قام من الليل فصلى وأيقظ امرأته فصلت فإن أبت نضح في وجهها الماء رحم الله امرأة قامت من الليل فصلت وأيقظت زوجها فإن أبى نضحت في وجهه الما

} "May Allah bless a man who wakes up at night and then performs a prayer and awakens his wife and then performs a prayer, if his wife is reluctant then he sprinkles his face with water and may Allah bless a woman who wakes up at night and then performs prayer and wakes her husband If her husband reluctantly he splashed his face with water.
