These sound good - and they are good. I think it is important to exhibit tolerance, patience and turning the other cheek.
However, sometimes this is impossible, and undesirable. As was pointed out by a wise man: "For evil to flourish, it only requires good men to do nothing."
Thus we must sometimes defend the good.
In my opinion, peace requires only that the politcal/economic principle of Voluntarism to be widely embraced. This means that all human interactions must be based on voluntary agreement by the relevant parties. In one fell swoop this principle eliminates colonialism, war, imperialism, crony capitalism, theft and fraud.
It is also a realistic principle, because it allows for the use of defensive (and only defensive) force against those who would transgress the principle of voluntarism.
