Love In The Time of Social Media

If you want a romantic relationship, what matters most is the heart of the
person you desire. Don't be dazzled how good job they have, the size of
their bank account, or how good-looking they may or may not be.

Lots of broken people have good jobs. Sometimes people who have money
are often bitterly unhappy. And as far as being good looking goes . . . I can
remember serial murderers who were drop-dead gorgeous.

Good character is a quality of the heart.
So, that is what you have to focus on in another person.

And in today’s social media-crazy world, you cannot pretend to be
something you are not. Because the Internet remembers everything.

And if the person you desire cannot accept you as you really are, any
relationship you were going to have is doomed before it starts. Sadly,
if that's the case . . . save yourself a lot of time and heartache, and
move on.

Thank you for reading. Do you agree or disagree?

You have the right idea here. For many, however, the "everything" that the Internet remembers isn't quite the real you. Close enough, perhaps, to serve as a starting point. Still, "something you are not," yet never tried to be — a persona that oodles of data conjured up.
