A long distance apart can cause strains between two lovers in a relationship. We often want the closeness of our other half most especially physically and a long time without seeing them can be stressful to our relationship and even marriage as our case may be. Digital age as been of immense help and assistance but many a times it cannot successfully bridge the gap long distances create; it could be milder though.
With video calls, chat apps, regular calls, we can continually be in contact as we try to beat the lack of physical touch- their looks - to make us connect emotionally.
Emotional connection is more than physical contact, looks etc. As we may know it goes beyond physical attraction to genuine love for each other. In that no matter how faraway we are from each other, we treat each other with love and in love. We avoid those distractions that could set our relationship on the verge of exasperation.
Always taking note of what our other half likes or dislikes and not engaging in activities or dealings that could endager the spark we had.
Indeed some love hearts never really grow separate with distance. Their love is stronger than the longest distance and with commitment they make their relationship work.
This is a piece from a lover to the other half. It goes...
Our love is not bound by distance
Several miles apart; not waning
Though you are faraway in a land so strange
Our feelings live, we roll all the same
Our love ain't just a noun
It beats chemistry hands down
Our bond's far stronger
No scale can weigh
We have been together
Together to be forever
Be there a love greater than ours
Only God does have
I hope yours is like theirs or even more.
