Yes! "Don't attack". However angry we are we need to prioritize preserving the connection over everything else. It is the same for our relationships with our children.
Things fall apart when we start to get our children and our partners to fit around us rather than looking for a 3rd way to meet our needs and theirs at the same time. You are right. It is a kind of complacency we can slip into in love relationships. It's also a kind of complacency we can bring to parenting from the start with society's traditional blessing.
Great post.
Thanks @kaylinart
