The criticism is the tricky part, a lot of people, myself included, get offended or are rather sensitive about themselves.
In my case, I have a bit of an inflated ego, something that has a lot to do with my own nature and the way i was brought up, I've spent years already trying to smoothen myself down and keep my mentality flexible enough to accept criticism, be it harsh or friendly, with time I've come to very much like people who are brutally honest, as those are actually the ones who will give me the raw data I need to work with.
Also, I'd like to add this to the ones you already noted. talking about our own plans (and i mean in detail) hinders us while doing them, why? .. Well, because it feels like it's already done, when people tell you that they're great or splendid or genius, you get your dose of dopamine and some other happy chemicals and that's a wrap, you won't really feel like doing anything, you're already happy OR they'll tear at you saying that your plans sound stupid or are impossible, leaving you with a sense of regret you even opened your mouth.
So unless you're getting advice from a confidant, simply stay as far away from telling anyone what you intend to do, they'll see it with your results eitherway! Great photos and thanks for the motivational post, Karen.
aww thanks for the awesome comment! Being open to constructive criticism helps you grow and become better. But I agree, hardwork and determination will pay off and people will see it in your work! :)
