There is still a big distinction between
the transcendental God (everything) and
pantheistic God (every thing).
pantheism
- a doctrine which identifies God with the universe, or regards the universe as a manifestation of God.
- the worship or tolerance of many gods.

God that is all things is what I know to be true. The pantheistic god is a little g. Most groups that believe in many gods believe they are little gods. like Hindu, they believe Brahma is the overriding, everything God. While Vishnu, Shiva and such are avatars.
Then we have the Native Americans, who worshipped life. they were incorrectly thought to worship animals, but they worshipped the God inside the animals that was a part of the whole.
