I know that a lot of people are going to say that they understand there is a problem but, did you know that there is a greater problem that needs to be addressed. I'm talking about the children in the world with no voice. Just check out these statistics...
- Its estimated that a 147 million children worldwide are orphans.
- There are 168 million children world wide that are child laborers, accounting for 11 percent of children.
- 264 million children or youth are out of school.
- 62.8% of children world wide suffer from acute malnutrition.
- 66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry around the globe, 23 million in Africa alone.
I understand that we have problems in the world that we think that government needs to fix, but what are we doing to fix our world. We as people should ask ourselves a serious question; what are we willing to do. We don't mind marching in street or sending a few dollars; but does that challenge ourselves to really institute change. This is not a black or white problem; a Christian or muslim problem , nor a European or Asian problem....its a HUMAN ONE!
I'm not saying that we should shame ourselves because that just causes guilt and that doesn't help. I'm just saying that we all should really take notice and ask ourselves a hard question. Why we can accomplish so much as humans and do such great things but, still the world lets this go on with just words. Also ask yourself one more serious heart felt question...would you have love in your heart when you grew up ; if you were treated like this when you were little?
Well would you!!!?
