Belief is the Root of Division!

The urge to posses anything comes from a deep sense of loneliness.
πŸ™
Each one tries to fill this void in different ways, whether by drugs, alcohol, pleasures, beliefs, and all forms of escape - but this loneliness remains!
πŸ™
We seek comfort and security, be it through nationalism, religion, or racial propaganda.
πŸ™
Why is it that we give so much importance to 'belief' which divides?
πŸ™
Does one not see that any form of division breeds conflict?
πŸ™
Us against them, me against you!
πŸ™
The fact remains that any form of division is divisive, brutal, aggressive, and violent.
πŸ™
Thought is the root cause of this division and produces fear, anxiety, insecurity, and isolation from the whole.
πŸ™
We end up living for an idea, and we go through great lengths to protect it.
πŸ™
One may even go to war and kill or be killed for this belief - nationalism has done it, religion has done it, and racial identity too has perpetuated it.
πŸ™
As long as one thinks oneself to be white, black, brown or yellow - buddadist, christian, islamic, or hindu - or identifies oneself with the north, south, east, or west - one shall never experience peace on earth.
πŸ™
If humanity doesn't see the fact that belief divides, we shall continue down the same path as we have for thousands of years - living in constant conflict.
πŸ™
I would like to discuss this question with all of you.
πŸ™
Why has humanity givin so much value to belief?
