The way pain happened
has little to do with the how we feel.
My belief that something happened differently
than another’s memory of it
has no true impact until
the feelings of that experience has shifted.
For until the one who has been hurt –
can look at it with eyes of compassion.
There will never be any other memory of it –
other than the remembered pain.
Let my day and way be one that feels
