Bay was very lucky to have you as his family. You were so patient, caring and loving at the beginning and this is what he needed. I understand he had a horrible life before he met you but he recovered and found happiness within your family circle.
He found his best friend Bella who unfortunately left him after a while but he overcome this emptiness and became a little happy fellow again.
He was a very strong dog and I have to smile when I see him wearing those sun glasses. I can imagine he was spoiled with a lot of attention that he accepted.
I am sorry to hear about your loss. I'm sure he is looking at you from the dog heaven and telling you not to be sad :)
Thank you for sharing your beautifully sad story. I am certain that you and your family will keep lovely memories of Bay and also Bella forever. Animal love is so special and it stays in our hearts :)
Thank you so much, @delishtreats
I didn't mean for his story to appear sad. We are sad and have been grieving, but most of all we are so happy to have had him in our lives and in our memories. And I'm sure Bella was waiting for him.
He certainly was strong :) I'm so proud of him.
I also wrote to his foster mom last week. I wasn't sure that she'd remember him as they rescue so many dogs. I shared a photo of when he first came to us and shared one of these more photos to let her know just how special he was and how happy and strong he turned out to be. She played a part in saving him, too and she was so moved and happy to hear that he had a full life (I remember her crying for him that day picking him up - just knowing what he had been through and wanting him to be happy). I wanted her to know that he was very happy and very much loved.
