Hi guys, in talking about love today I'll like to use the "phantom limb" sensation to explain a phenomenon I call "phantom love sensation".
Phantom limb according to Wikipedia is a sensation that an amputated or missing limb is still attached.usually Majority of this sensation is said to be painful. For instance, a person with an amputated leg, who now has to move with clutches or with a new prostatic limb may occasionally find his or herself trying to stand and walk without these aids because of the feeling the the said limb is still part of them, only for them to remember they had an amputation when they find themselves on the ground.
Occasionally the same feeling occurs amongst enstraged lovers, where one party may be found to have moved on so well, while the other keeps experiencing phantom sensation.
Most of the time the party who has not moved on from the breakup may find themselves waking up in the middle of the night to make an attempt at cuddling their ex, only to be jolted back into reality by an empty bed. Sad right? Yea. Sometimes they spend the rest of that night in tears.
At other times they pickup their cellphones to make important calls, but see themselves dialing the number of their ex. It happens. Howe about the long hours staring at thier phones hoping that the next call will be from their ex asking for a makeup. Awww that call never really comes. Sorry.😃
Oh oh things could even get messy if they are connected on a social media platform and the partner still having "phantom love sensation " while checking out their ex see that they are really living quite fine as evidenced by pretty photo shoots in cozy locations biz events parties in the company of better looking friends. 😟 they'd be like "let me just die"😞
No wonder this sensation has the ability to drive the "patient " ;yes patient cos at this point they need therapy; into depression, and many get into several vices most negative, in order to escape the feeling. Example, drowning themselves in alcohol (I can here the brothers cheering 😀), some party hard, and have one night stands, yet others get into relationships they otherwise wouldn't have as a form of rebound. Some go to church, yes church 😇 a joke has it that the church is the best place to go to after a breakup, cos everyone is crying during the worship, so no one knows your is cos of your ex 😂😉.
So now you know what phantom love is, next time I'll be sharing some tips on how to overcome such feelings without being caught up in a negative vice. Peace out ✌
I upvoted because I learned something new, not because I want Phantom Love Sensation ;)
