Hello! Look who is here today 😊
I’m actually so excited I’m not sure where to start from.
This is more like a re-introduction post seeing that I’m not exactly new here but three years of absence is plenty time for unapplied knowledge to get rusty and while I’m impressed with the growth and how much this platform has evolved, I barely know my way around.
Anyways, I’m pretty confident that within a couple of days I’d get the gist and I can’t wait to be a part of different amazing communities.
So who exactly am I?
I have to say that the answer to this question would have been different a couple of years ago but of course, my core values have been retained. It only gets better…My name is Sussan, I often use Sussan Austin as my pen name. I found out about the blockchain and different aspects of it in 2017 and never left the crypto space ever since. There’s something that the knowledge of cryptos and blockchain does to you, you realize you’re super early to something big and you don’t leave, ever.
I joined this platform in 2017(obviously) and it was the highlight of my life that year. It was amazing, I learnt a lot, I was active in a number of communities and I made life-changing friendships. To be honest, a lot of my current achievements kicked off after steemit, it was mind-blowing as well as exhausting but we had this slogan “come for the money, stay for the community” and we just kept going. After a while the traffic was so much that one could barely keep up.
Right now, I only have fond memories, probably because I’m writing this with Nostalgia. It’s like talking about the good old days with so much passion when in reality or if you go back in time you have to admit that it wasn’t that great.
Why the long break??
Well, when I stopped blogging, I was feeling overwhelmed by a lot of things. I was struggling with many challenges including family misunderstandings and psychological issues. A lot of time has passed and I now relate with this saying:Life can be understood by looking backwards but must be lived forward.
It wasn’t exactly easy and there were a lot of tough choices and peer pressure but I’m really glad my decisions paid off. I’m not exactly where I want to be(nobody really is because this is so dynamic) but I’m very much far from where I used to be and this is something I am very much grateful for.
What am I up to now?
I’m doing two main things at the moment – Trading and Data Science. That’s right, I’m on my way to becoming a full-blown Data Scientist which is one thing I’ve always aspired to be. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics so that’s a plus for me. I might do my Masters in Data Science sometime in the future but for now I’m still honing my skills and building my job portfolio. In between that, I’m someone who always like to live and not just let life pass by because I believe that life is in the living so I’ve been to a couple of places I only dreamed of before and I intend to do more of that.
Somehow, I found time to make swimming a hobby and it’s my way of keeping fit.
I’ve actually always loved reading and writing, making new friends and adding value to people’s lives, which, if I’m not mistaken, those are still the core values of this platform. Hopefully there are discord groups I can join to stay up to date.(pls comment with an invite link if that's ok)
I’m going to be writing about Data Science, cryptos and my personal experiences.
I hope to be welcomed once again to Hive!
Welcome back Mami Susan 😁
Great to have you active here again. J can't wait to see what you put up.
Data science is something I'm really considering too
Thanks so much ❤️
Data science is interesting o, but the machine learning part can be a bit crazy.
Yay! 🤗
