Black Soldier Beetle is close to the Fireflies, but are incapable of producing light. Adults are predators of insects and other invertebrates. They also feed on nectar and pollen flowers.
These are insects highly appreciated by gardeners as biological control agents against a number of harmful insects. In addition, adults can contribute to the pollination of certain plants.
