Thanks for your interest. Juniper is a hard one for me to grow in a pot. I recently learned they do not do well with akadama clay in the soil.
I'll check it out so I can see the progress when you upload the new post. At the moment I have mine in the same soil it had when I bought it in nursery. When I repot it I'll probably use a mixture of its current soil and perlite. Do you think it's a good idea?
Maybe. I have been using the same mix for about four years in all my bonsai. Lava rock, granite, pumice, clay. Drainage is more important than moisture retention for juniper.
I need to buy more types of soil lol
