These have got to be my favorite art-pieces in my house! They're beaded Protea flowers. The Protea is the national flower of South Africa (that's where I grew up). It's a beautiful flower and I believe it's indigenous to South Africa.
On my last trip there I visited my friends house where I spotted these, I was awestruck with the detailed work in them, she GAVE them to me. What a blessing!
