The mystery of the Butterfly Garden.
My first look at a Yellow and Black Garden Spider included finding two large representatives. Frightening!
The key to an active Butterfly Garden is having good plants and flowers.
The Purple Passion Flower draws me in hypnotically.
The Two Spotted Bumblee Bee is a common visitor.
Hard at work.
I witnessed dozens of Duskywing Butterflies extracting nectar.
Stink Bug!
Southern Toad
Carpenter Ants
Orchard Spider
Great Blue Skimmer Dragonfly
Dragonflies are everywhere this time of year.
Ivory Millipede
The Butterfly Garden is just off the St Johns River. What do you find in your Butterfly Garden?

Great post, I especially like the first picture of the dragonfly.
Those googly eyes are so big and crazy looking!
You took some really cool wildlife shots here! I think the spider in the first photos is some type of Orb Weaver, I've seen similar ones in my yard. I love that purple flower too! I have never seen one like it before! What an awesome place to visit. :)
You're correct, the Garden Spider is an Orb Weaver. If you are inclined to be scared of spiders, these should do the trick! I agree, the Passion Purple flower is amazing! Next time I visit the Butterfly Garden I may focus on it and make a specific post about it. Thanks!
