Very nice, @sardrt! Your images really show the unique features of the Cortinarius. That web is so distinctive. Anyone looking at your photos should be able to understand what to look for. They are better than I have seen in any mushroom book, in their Cortinarius pictures! And your images highlight that it's good to find mushrooms of all ages, because the distinctive features may be when they are at a specific age, like the young ones.
That 2nd photo is beautiful, too -- and the one right about your mushroom brush. It's nice to see that brush, even though I think you don't take any home to eat. Or do you?
Nice photography. We have some Cortinarius spp. way down here in Tasmania too. I' looking forward to the autumn to start photographing fungi again. It's still a way of for us here in the southern hemisphere though.
