The famous railway market or folding umbrella market at Maeklong, Thailand, runs for approximately 67 kilometers between Wongwian Yai, Bangkok, and Samut Songkhram in central Thailand. The railway line is divided by the Tha Chin River into two parts, the Mahachai Line and the Ban Laem Line and literally runs through the middle of the market, coming within inches of stall owners.
White Pass And Yukon Route, Alaska
"No cutting corners on the White Pass & Yukon Route in Alaska." Built in 1898 during the Klondike Gold Rush, this narrow-gauge railroad is an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. The track climbs nearly 915 metres in 32 kilometres and features steep grades of up to 3.9% and cliff-hanging turns of 16 degrees. It also has splendid views of mountains, glaciers, tunnels, gorges, waterfalls and trestles.
There is Death Railway in Kanchanaburi in Thailand as well! Looks very similar to Alaska's one.
