RE: A Call to Patriots - 10 minutes for America

Not a clue what any of this has to do with my opinion of Clinton. For better or worse, I voted for Gary Johnson.

So now Trump is trying to weasel out of being interviewed by Mueller. And his own lawyers are suggesting it’s because Trump would lie. That’s their argument. You can’t make this stuff up.

The “news” of Thursday and Friday is the deeply flawed Nunes memo. If Trump think that’s going to convince any rational person, he is deluding himself.

Oh, and please, not that absurd slavery canard again. Dixiecrats became Republicans, the descendants of slaves became Democrats.

And Trump removed from office only leaves us with Pence. Out of the frying pan and into the fire. Nothing to cheer about.

But obstruction of justice cannot go unpunished.

Sort:

Hey friend, seriously, you've got your history wrong. Only one Dixiecrat converted, Strom Thurmond in 1964. And it seems clear you have simply checked out of reading what has actually happened since Thursday. I admit i am making some speculations about the investigation, but there are some basic facts about this investigation it seems like you are simply not aware of.

I’m not using Dixiecrat in the narrow sense of Thurmond’s States' Rights Democratic Party, I’m using it in the broader sense of southern white Democrats going Republican (Jesse Helms for instance) and southern whites in general (like in the 1964 election).

By since Thursday you’re of course meaning the Nunes memo and reactions to it. But if the investigation means his hack House investigation, that train wreck is becoming increasingly irrelevant. Mueller keeps tightening his grip and there will be more indictments as he works his way up the food chain.

I am amazed that so many Trump supporters seem to think that obstruction of justice will be swept under the rug somehow.
