So I think everyone knows how this goes, so I will jump straight into the action. With 65 names in the IFC followers list at the close of the entries (up to 71 now) I expect this to be a fast and furious game of Bingo!
We have 12 players one the starting blocks, and just to get a rough idea of what everyone has picked on their cards, here's a quick look:
The blocks in red indicate names that have been picked by other players as well, so @jan23com has gone for the names that other haven't picked and it will be interesting to see if this is going to pay off.
Also, because we have introduced so new rules, we should apply them to. Every square with '!' will be replaced with davemccoy and apolymask, while every square with 'x' will be replaced with the 10th name drawn. Before we made the replacements, the popularity of names chosen for this time round looks like this:
Not surprisingly, @kryptocek is a popular choice since he is also at the top of the leaderboard on @ifc, but @simplymike is also on many people's bingo card! Nice to see @laurawhite also getting a few mentions too as someone who is still relatively new to the community :)
As usual, we take a look at the standings after the first 4 names to see if anyone is a winner already. Because the first two names were quite popular (@charismas777 and @fibrefox), many people were already in a good position right from the start. Even though there are still no miracles in this edition of Steemit Bingo, @bashadow was pretty close with three of the four names and now needs just one more to claim the prize when the 21st name is drawn - so the race is on to try and catch him:
I forgot to put @bengy's entry in my list since it was posted in a different thread, but I managed to add him in as well (sorry about that :p)
So continuing on, the popular names continue to be drawn and by the 10th name which was @hayzer93 (good move by those that used the 'x' wild card because very few people would have picked that name) we actually have a five way tie for the lead with @apolymask, @bashadow, @charisma777, @hayzers93 and @iexplore all just one more match away from a Bingo. @apolymask also skips into the lead just ahead of @bashadow with the name that he needs (@tonyr) coming up as the 17th name.
I thought the rule changes might make the game more exciting, and this is just proving to be the case :)
And with the 11th name drawn @iexplore found another name in @wildfredn to move up the list but came agonizingly short to Bingo on the 19th name...
And with the 12th name drawn @davemccoy is also just one more name away from Bingo, making it a six way tie but @apolymask still just ahead...
And with the 13th name drawn @davemccoy is tied with @iexplore both needing @laurawhite to be drawn as the 19th name but still behind @apolymask who needs @tonyr as the 17th name...
Suspense! No one picked @abawhale which was the 14th name, so just two more names to go before @apolymask claims the win...
And the 15th name was @organicgardener but it didn't change the standings...
And the 16th name was @leeart and there were no miracle plays to cause a tie for the lead...
So the third Steemit Bingo winner is @apolymask with @davemccoy and @iexplore tied for second spot.
Last time we had a well deserved winner in @simplymike who was both involved in @newbiegames and @asapers, and this time it is @apolymask who wins for our @ifc promotional game - what are the chances?
All the names, random numbers and bingo cards are included in this spreadsheet, as are the results from all previous bingo games if you think I am making this all up!

The prize of SBDs generated from the Bingo Card announcement and winner announcement will be split up between @apolymask and @ifc, to be transferred when this post expires.
Hope you enjoyed this edition of Steemit Bingo games, and I look forward to bringing you the next one soon :)

Way to go @apolymask! And what a great coincidence!!! Like it was meant for him to win!!!! Also just to let you know i read this with a sports commentators voice lol great post! Good luck everyone in the future rounds!
Some people don't believe in coincidences, so you could say that it was meant to be :) I thought the tweaks to the rules made it a little bit more interesting, so that's something I might keep or add to in the future rounds. Most people don't think Bingo is a strategy game but I am trying to turn it into one :D
Well that was exciting to read!!! What are the chances! Congrats @apolymask!!
You either believe in coincidences or you don't, but either way I am pretty happy with the result :)
Congrats, @apolymask.
It’s always fun to read your winner announcement posts, @fibrefox.
Like @charisma777 said, I automatically transfer the text in my head to the voice of a sports commentator - lol.
Again, a very nice game :0)
It is a nice contest to host if the numbers are not too large, and I like @bengy's idea of maybe doing a live call of the results or making it more interactive for the audience (because it is more fun for me at the moment). Thanks for your support and I do hope that it helps both @newbieresteemday and @ifc. Your name comes up a lot in these bingo games so you must be doing a really good job supporting the newbies :)
Lol, I’m actually starting to feel like one if the popular kids :0D
Give me your lunch money!
If I’m honest, it feels really good to see my name pop up regularly. I’m trying to do good, be honest, be real and help people, and obviously that comes across. I take it as a sign of appreciation (or maybe there are many people that want to see my name crossed out - which is an other possibility)
Trying to be real is pretty new to me. I have always been afraid of being rejected for my flaws. And I have never openly discussed and showed my flaws, until I came to Steemit. I’m learning a lot from this entire steemit experience when it comes tonpersonal geowth.
I agree you do the live version, but with some kind of a sports commentator voice, or like a wrestling referee or so - lol
IT might become a hit...
Well, if my name comes up often alongside people like davemccoy, bashadow, charisma777 and others of similar ilk I would be pretty happy :D I am pretty sure you are heading in the right direction with what you are doing on Steemit, and social media is something I am trying to get comfortable with as well.
And you have helped a lot of people, not just within @newbieresteemday or @newbiegames but those are the ones I know and are familiar with, so you have to give yourself a pat on the back every now as well :)
I don't have the sports commentator voice so maybe I'll have to think of what I can do for the next Steemit Bingo :p
Next time you should do a dlive stream. Calling the names like an race announcer!
That's a great idea! Except that most people are probably in the US so the timing would be tricky... I could record something though. Maybe I'll ponder on this a bit more :)
Dlive lets you upload videos as well. Besides, it's about time the Americans missed out on something!
Thanks for hosting for the newbies!
Congratulations you have been upvoted and resteemed as part of #newbieresteemday's top 10 posts for the day! We invite you to use our tag to connect with more of our members. To learn more: Come Join Us!!! (Newbie Resteem Initiative)
Cool! I won something! :D I'm going to put it towards more artwork for the IFC. Thanks! And also thanks to all the people who said congrats even though they probably won't read this. Oh and that's awesome you're putting half towards the @ifc ! Seems like a nice win for the IFC. :) Cheers and thanks again for doing all of this! I'll definitely try to be a part of the next one if I don't miss it!
It's not much but still I think connecting people together and telling them about all the great things happening at @ifc is the best way I can contribute for now. I have always wanted to participate in Steemit Bingo and was hoping that someone else might host a similar game so I can play... that must be how you are feeling about IFC? Unfortunately I am a bit random about hosting these games, but I will let you know the next time it comes up :D
I think it's been a lot! You've help connect some of the most important people here! It's great work. Thank you so much for being such an important part of all this.
In regards to the wanting to play in my own game part? A little bit of yes and no.. Yeah it looks like a lot of fun, but also it looks really difficult too! Lol. Then again.. SO is judging! But yeah.. Maybe some day I'll get to try it out as a player! And someone else can take care of the rounds. We have iexplore doing catch ups, and we need someone to do something weekly at the marktplace also, but if we could get another person some day then I could theoretically play as well! I'm open to the idea. Maybe some day it'll happen. :)
Also thanks for the heads up!
Looks like I came relatively close this time, only 2 more names in most directions haha.
I am looking to add or improve the rules to make it more like a strategy game. If you have some good ideas I would be happy to try them for next time :) Thanks for playing!
How karmatic,(if that's a word), that @apolymask won. That was a rather exciting read, kind of like being at a bingo play-off.
I know there's the word karmic, so karmatic could be something that happens automatically as a result of karma :D Maybe instead of Steemit Bingo I should call it Bingo Playoff :) Thanks for playing!
its a fun game, and it promotes peoples blogs. A win for all people all around. I don't know if you have run across it yet or not, but @thedarkhorse runs a weekly contest called Pay it Forward, where people pick 3 new users, do a little profile and leave a link to their page. Week 4 should be starting in 3 days or so. I hope I can remember and enter you then. It may be something you might be interested in also, since it is a challenge to get people involved in helping each other, kind of like your contest do.
Yes, I participated in it before and I also tagged a few people in my post and they joined in as well :) I almost think that you should be doing a post on the list of contests since you seem to know quite a few of them :D
First time- an accident! Second time in a row - a coincidence! Third time - routine! Fourth time - habit...what am i even saying?
