@chanelcalestus ... Everyone has the right to their own opinion which I am in total agreement and no one can stop you from using the tag it's up to your own discretion . My personal opinion on this is that it can easily be misinterpreted as a racial tag instead of a language tag. These are just my views on this matter.

since #teammalaysia actually has "cn-malaysia" as the main source of Malaysians to write in Mandarin (and are not good with English), how about #bm-malaysia ?
Unless you would like to target all Malay speaking individuals around the world, which could be very different as you know Indonesian language's vocabulary varies quite a bit from the Malaysian Malay language; hence in the International platform, no Indonesian will say they speak Malay but they speak Indon (or Indonesian). Even Language series separates Malay and Indonesian.
Just like German and Austrian shares very close language references, but they are very vast from one another, and although Austrians can speak German, they have their own country's language (Austrian) which is slightly different as well.
Maybe you can look into that?
I was also starting to wonder should we have bm-malaysia, tm-malaysia (for tamil), and other languages haha...
