Malaysian Traditional Food : Tapai Pulut

As usual, going to work on Monday morning. I am surprised by this weird looking triangle-shaped thing on my table.

This is actually one of the traditional foods in Malaysia. We called it “Tapai Pulut”. It is usually served on special occassion.

I don’t know how does it taste like as this is my first time trying it and I will let you guys know soon. Keep reading. 😜

As you can this, this food is made of glutinous rice, and the rice is mixed with “ragi”. And they will let it fermented for few days.

Hrmm, it smells sweet and it tastes too sweet too! Honestly, I don’t really like the taste. It takes me for almost an hour to finish the whole thing but still, thanks to my colleague for letting me try out this traditional food. At least, I have something to share with you guys today.
