Felling the Pines - Part 1

The second and last pine tree is now down. It was done in under ten minutes.
All the errors made on the first pine were considered and it came down no problem.
The same method of split-level back cut was used again. With the wedges in place it only took just a few swings of the sledge hammer to bring it down.
I aimed it at the burn pile, so I could cut the top bows off, like taking the florets off broccoli, and leave them where they laid.
Once the bows were cleaned up and the lumber moved aside, the 10m trunk was spun around 90degrees so it could be away from the fence area and dealt with at a later stage. Luckily enough I was able to jam a log under the trunk near the centre of its mass to do so, and then drag it with the tractor.
I'd like to thank my lovely partner @moz333 for taking these pictures which she did using her Samsung Galaxy S9.
Now its back to removing the stumps on the fence line.

Nothing like the tremendous power of a tree coming down.
