It's a long time since I have not to write a post here.
I am going to tell you about one of my weekend trips to a city in Italy, Mantua in early November.
My fiance and I started the trip from Bologna at 11 a.m. it took us one hour and 15 minutes to get there by car. The city is amazing as it is surrounded by three lakes from three sides, Lago Superiore, Lago di Mezzo and Lago Inferiore. Here you can see how it is located on the map. I also save the places we visited by tagging them with hearts😃.
As soon as we parked the car in a free parking we headed to have lunch. We googled the typical food and the best places to find them. According to a website, Tortelli di Zucca and female donkey stew were the most interesting dishes in that zone. We found Trattoria Due Cavallini (15 minutes walk from parking) as a high-rated restaurant for these dishes so, here we are in the Trattoria:
It was a very cozy and cool place under that huge tree. We ordered Tortelli di Zucca and female donkey stew and Lambrusco as the drink. Lambrusco is also a red wine that is typical of the zone and I would say I loved it. The launch was truly exquisite.

After lunch, we went sightseeing. As the city is small, you can walk the whole shore. We started from the Lago Superiore and strolled to the Lago Inferiore. The scenes that nature had designed with a combination of greens and water and the birds on the way were astonishing. I am a rain lover and that day it was drizzling so it made the walk more delightful for me. I would say I didn't even notice how much I walked.
Walking around the lakes we ended up in a huge park and then in the center so we visited some historical places just from the outside as they were closed that day😅🤦♀️.

As it started to rain again and it was getting dark and cold we decided to end our nice trip and drive to Bologna. I enjoyed the place that I am sure I would go back again soon.
