Botanical garden, Elche. Palm and cactus paradise.

If you lucky to visit this small spanish town Elche, be sure to check out the Botanical garden Huerto del Cura.
In the season of flowering, on a hot summer afternoon or a quiet winter evening - there's always something to admire and something to see.
Already at the entrance to the Park you are greeted by towering palms.

and a whole family of peacocks (peacocks next will meet on each of the clearing, suddenly out of the bushes or just walk around you, checking whether you have something for desert))

The main attraction of the Park - Palma "Imperial".
Palma is known that in 1894 in the Park stopped by the Empress of Austria-Hungary the Austrian elizavetta and noted that palm tree. Since then this palm was named, and is surrounded by attention and care.

Many trees in this Park have their own names. Mostly palm trees names of notable persons who visited the Park or have a person choose their personal palm tree.

Palm trees with names of kings and Queens, prominent writers and scholars, and even the Conquistador was noted for its palm tree in this Park.
