I've met a truckload of amazing people I can call my friends without ever meeting them. And the acts of kindness that can be seen every day - even between two complete strangers - make me want to come back for more every time again.
^^ THIS!!! The community I've found through Steemit and Discord has been life changing. As an artist, I have a place to share myself authentically, blog about whatever I want to, and find that appreciation you speak of that is so crucial to each of us. The number of heart connections I've made has been staggering. Some people I've had the pleasure of meeting in person.
I've found a family here. Choosing two people is really, really hard, but I'm going to go with:
@shadowspub, you bring us all together on the Ramble, moderating in your laid back way. You take no shit, but you're patient and professional, and your dry humour always cracks me up. Thanks for all you do—the witness chats, PYPT, the rest of the Rambling Radio shows, The Writer's Block... You do so much, and your presence is 100% appreciated!
@isaria, the way you've encouraged me as a musician here is so appreciated! I know you understand, 'cause you're the best psychic commenter on the blockchain ;), but I don't communicate half the praise and gratitude I want to when it comes to your blog and presence. It's nice to know another shy musician who's getting out there anyway... I think there are quite a few of us here.
