Just in time for Freedom Fest, dispensaries will be opening up shop and that beautiful aroma of terpenes will waft through the air mixing with the scent of booze, sex and guilt.
Nevada has become the fifth state to legalize recreational marijuana. The market for medicinal was already booming, earning more than $229,000 in tax revenue since it was legalized in July 2015 (as reported by News 4 on 4/20 of last year).
While I don't agree with the states excessive taxation I have to give them points for going against the Fed's authority and legalizing regardless of the idiotic ruling to schedule marijuana as a Schedule one narcotic.
It remains to be seen if the state will actually use the money for the benefit of its residents. I'm not very optimistic, but hey stranger things have happened. Maybe the so-called "law makers" will light up and decide their whole life in politics has been a farce and would be better off spreading the message of Voluntaryism and non violent cooperation instead of extorting money through coercion. Yeah right, right. Now that's optimistic!
