I always assumed he was a founder redistributing his Steem Power in order to startup the Steem Engine... but idk. Too bad the democrats wagered Hillary (status quo) against Trump (change)... Sanders (change) had a better chance imo.

He is not, he's an early miner also known as nextgencrypto.
Oh! I see. Thanks for the clarification! Is that the case for you as well?
So the whales are actually early miners/adopters, rather than founders? Or are there some founders out there that are whales? Whether you reply or not, thanks!
Also, is this account a fake? https://steemit.com/@nextgencrypto
@berniesanders flagged you!... hmmm
Haha he probably doesn't want to be "exposed" I guess, and he just doesn't like me in general... Not sure what you mean by fake but no, that's his account. The only whale founder accounts are ned, dan/dantheman, ben, jamesc, val-a/val-b and maybe michael-a/michael-b.
@axiomprime I can't reply to your comment because the conversation is nested too deep now, but the reason he (as well as myself and many of the other early adopters) has several accounts is that they were created through mining. When you find your first Proof of Work (PoW) block an account is created for you with the name you chose for your miner, assuming that account name is not taken.
Reddit/Facebook verification is needed for new accounts created by Steemit because those accounts are funded with Steem Power worth ~10$, but mined accounts do not get this initial Steem Power as they are created by the blockchain itself once you find a PoW.
No, it's more likely that your matter-of-fact post kills some of the fun of this thread. You are probably trying to be helpful, but no one really cares about the true identity of berniesanders. They are just having fun. His downvote didn't cost you any money, though.
I don't get all this hate for founders and early adopters being heavily rewarded. Many of them are the ones who took or are still taking the biggest risk, let alone the work and genius that went into creating this stuff.
People spend hours on Reddit and Instagram, making the likes of Mark Zuckerberg filthy rich. Steemit allows people to enjoy the same types of interactions, and more, while getting paid!
I had the impression that I could only have 1 account in Steemit, but I'm assuming he made one account through Facebook and the other through Reddit.
Again, thanks for your clarification... REALLY helpful!
