Obama should write an executive order to enforce the Controlled Substances Act, which recognizes any drug with medicinal value (even if the DEA says it does not have medical value) is not to be put in schedule 1. This is because the risk of it's availability is outweighed by it's benefits to society. He used it, he KNOWS it's benefits. Why would we ever expect the DEA to sign into law it's own demise? In our "democratic" system the Executive Branch (aka the President) is responsible for enforcing the law. Congress is supposed to create the law. Too bad most of Congress and all modern presidents like Obama are controlled by BIG MONEY that want this natural God given seed bearing plant out of our LITTLE MONEY hands.

Any president would do better for the future of cannabis if they did away with/outlawed corporate lobbying, revolving doors, pharmaceutical company protection and reversed the destruction of the right of physicians to practice medicine and use their medical judgement.
