No. Since around 2000-2010 everyone realized that Hydroponic isn't really superior. It was at first, but that was because it was so controlled. As it became more of a Science they realized that they could get just as good bud out of Soil as they could from Hydroponic if they did everything right.
So, for example. In California, most of the best bud is grown Outdoors, in the Soil, using the California Sun for Light. You can grow indoors or outdoors, soil or hydroponic, etc. It's really about Horticulture.
