Great Post!
I live in Colorado and we're seeing the same trend here, moving toward oils/extracts. Main motivator is the contaminant level of the cannabis causing smoking to be harsh.
Cannabis Smoke is Not Hot or Harsh
A sign of high quality cannabis is how smooth the smoke is. When the smoke is so soft and cool and tasty and aromatic it feels like tasty/aromatic air, you know you're smoking quality.
When the last hit in the bowl barely has a 'burnt material' flavor to it and is almost as sweet and tasty as the first hit, that's some quality cannabis. :)
Not So Tasty or Cool or Soft?
Extract It! :D
Press it! Sift It! Ethanal Wash It! Get that oil off the flowers. :D

Check out the principles in the book I just published. Here's a link to the preview I posted for free here on Steemit. :) "Secrets to Growing Trichome Dense Cannabis"
Cannabis like This... :)
I prefer clean cannabis over dabs. Main reason? Maximum terpene retention.
You really have to experience clean cannabis to understand how significantly different it is from what most people have access to. I've looked for this kind of quality for a few years and have yet to find it again. Coming soon to a grower near you though! :D Loving what's coming, for everyone involved!
So we add terpene profiles to various extracts. Again, getting my buddies on here that can speak to it way better than me. I hear ya on the clean buds. Advantages of growing your own shit!
Where do you get the terpenes from though?
I like them to be naturally occurring on the plant, it's why I took the time to write a book on the subject. Punch you in the nose aroma, when you open a jar. Bite the smoke flavor, because it's that friggin tasty, right down to the last hit in the bowl.
Going to love it when a good portion of the cannabis supply is that good. :D
AMEN I was just writing that nugs have a broader spectrum of affects as a reply then i looked down...fuck it im still posting mine.
LOL, it's all good. repetition of correct info is better than the last 70 years. ;)
Keep it Clean!
