RE: Market Friday Gourds a Pumpkin

in #marketfriday5 years ago

I can actually say I still don't eat gravy and never ate mayonnaise until I was an adult. Plus a few years. I will eat soft boiled, but, only if they are not snotty Ugh!!!

I think all kids have weird habits about eating and some adults too. LOL

The tips are my pleasure!

Oh, I LOVE gravy now! I can't even remember why I wouldn't eat it as a kid, lol. I was exactly the same as you with mayo. The first time I discovered that I actually liked mayo was when I was 20 and stationed at an army base near Pittsburgh Int'l airport, and I'd buy a tuna salad sandwich for lunch at the PX.

I had no idea mayo was an ingredient in Tuna salad, (I knew nothing about cooking then), but when I found out, that was when I decided to like it. Ever since then I really like it a lot.

There are so many foods I wouldn't eat before then, that I love now, like potato salad, chicken salad, macaroni salad, ham salad - on hamburgers and sandwiches - it opened the food world I'd been shutting out, and it was a blast enjoying all those dishes that I had shunned for the first time!

I couldn't eat soft-boiled eggs now. I can't even eat an egg sunny side up. I order my eggs over medium when I eat breakfast out. I won't go for them cooked less than that. :) Have a great day!
