Hi everyone here we are back for another #marketfriday initiated by the lovely @dswigle and it's Friday again and this time i found myself at a fruit fair in Bangkok , Thailand that was held at the famous markets called Chatuchak Market in Bangkok , Thailand.
I had heard from some friends that they have this fruit fair once a year at this Chatuchak Markets in Bangkok so me been a fruit lover just could not resist staying away from this paradise of fruits.
The Chatuchak Weekend Market is also known as JJ Markets in Bangkok it has more than 15,000 stalls and 11,505 vendors, divided into 27 sections so it's easy to get lost and find yourself going around i circles.
The Thai Farmers really have pride in their fruit farms they like to compete with each other to see who can grow the biggest and most tastiest fruit or veggie as you can see with there watermelons and pumpkins.
Markets like this are always my favorites to visit they always put on a great display i normally spend all day at these sort of fairs and not only fruit are on display you have a abundance of products you can see and buy like flowers , jewelry , handmade craftwork , clothing , pet shops and the list goes on.
All these knickknacks were quite interesting colored phone cable extensions , light decorations , little stools and many more to be seen.
And you got hungry this is one place you would not starve the amount of food vendors and little cute cafes here could feed the whole globe.
From Western food to Japanese food and of course all the Thai dishes you could ever dream of Som Tam with crab , Pad Thai seafood all under this one huge roof like they say Bangkok is one big kitchen.
And if you desired a dessert i would recommend this well known Thai dessert the sticky rice with mango slices my favorite one to die for.
And then maybe another piece of fruit to wash that down how about a nice juicy plum or a peach or maybe some long black sweet grapes.
A day well spent had a great feast on the fruits and Thai dishes it is not hard to spend a whole day here you certainly will not get bored a place that has much to seen if your ever in Bangkok , Thailand , the Chatuchak Weekend Market.
Address: สวนจตุจักร Kamphaeng Phet 2 Rd, แขวง ลาดยาว Chatuchak, Bangkok 10900.

You went to a fruit fair??? I have never heard of one, but, Oh, my!!! I am looking right at one now!!! These have to be the most amazing pieces of fruit EVER!!! So succulent, fleshy, seasonable fruit... I cannot get over how beautiful and abundant these pieces are. I have never seen so much in one place like that! AND perfection! Each piece.
Those bing cherries were perfect. Did you hear me? The rich color of the ripened crop just tantalized these eyes. You knew they would. The star fruit and all the exotics are sometimes hard to find here or rather, they aren't nearly as good looking when we do get them.
There was a basket of fruit and it looked like those large figs in them, with perhaps some kind of cranberry-like fruit or was that a pear? Oh, they could look the same, except you always show perfect fruit! And those looked like figs for that reason.
Be still my heart. The tulips were breathtaking. Totally. Framed to perfection, your skills are so wonderful and you have come a long way with your pictures.
And then you fed me. Oh, my soul. Yes. My girls and I hovered over the page, bidding on the meals. :) Your pictures, the presentation, oh! The ingredients. Love! Love! Love!
What is underneath the salmon with the asparagus (Is that salmon or what fish?) in the green? (what kind off mash is that?)
You have wowed the socks right off me. Your posts are always amazing and this one doesn't disappoint one bit! Thank you and thank you for taking the time to put together a #MarketFriday! It is appreciated!
#MarketFriday loves you!

Oh...i am really behind now i have friends from Australia who have come for a 40th birthday celebration in Bangkok and they have kept me away from Steemit..lol...but has really be fun to caught up with them and as you see no #marketfriday from me this week sorry :)
This fruit fair was simply amazing and i can't tell you how much i enjoyed eating fruit that day especially the cherries and the long black grapes.
That fruit in the basket are not big figs they are like a soft Thai sweet and sour pear and the smaller fruit is what they call a longon which is similar to a lychee but pale yellow in color and very sweet and underneath the salmon with the asparagus it's mashed potato with avocado dip over the mashed potatoes.
Thank you so much for your awesome comment and tip and have a great day :)
Thank you @pixresteemer :)
Oh! I would love to have some fruit smoothie!

Yaaayy... you also found the "sentul and rambai" in the basket 😉 the acidic fruits but will be delicious if it's caramelized and sun-dried too.
