Hello market people well here we are again it only seems like yesterday and here we are again another MarketFriday and another weekend to look forward to. This time i decided to take a walk along the Bangkok canal where i heard there are many interesting markets by the canal.
Those big seeds are out of the Jack-fruit they are boiled spiced up and mixed with some more fruits like apple , mango or pineapple slices and their you go you have a spicy Thai fruit salad. The Jack-fruit seeds taste a lot like a huge cashew nut.
All the Thai sweet cakes i like even sweet sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf so yummy.
Then you got all your cooked up vegetables ready to take home re-heat and mix with your fish or meat dinner.
A great variety of fruits fresh and cheap as , Watermelons , Rose Apples , Thai grown Lychees and many more fruits either cut up to eat as you wonder around or simply take home as a whole.
Juicy Mangoes , Bananas , Sweet Papaya , Grapes , Apples , Sweet Tamarin's and Mandarin's.
All the fresh wonderful tasty vegetables freshly picked daily. Just look at them prices a vegetarians haven...Lena would just love it here :) :) :)
Huge white spaceship mushrooms my favorite BBQ on a stick with a bit of butter and pepper.
Apart from all the yummy fresh fruit and vegetables you can also take home some lovely fresh fish cleaned and cut to order just perfect baked or steamed with your veggies.
One thing about Thai's they love there fish in many ways spicy ,BBQ or steamed but they do love them live fishes also swimming around in there fish tanks and they do have some beautiful tropical fishes here to choose from.
And if you fancy a new pair of fip-flops every size and color is available.
This is only one of the Bangkok Canal Markets on this stretch of canal it runs for miles up the center of Bangkok City. In Thailand they call it Khlong Saen Saeb Bangkok Waterways it's a very vibrant and exhilarating canal it's reminds me of the river in Venice , Italy when i was there years ago. There are many beautiful sights along this canal the old city and the new city of Bangkok and i will definitely be coming by this canal again to discovery and learn more about this side of town.
Time to go home i cross one of the canal bridges board the high speed boat and head out to the next nearest BTS monorail to take me closer to my place. I had walked about 10 kilo meters that day sight seeing along the canal and i had quite sore feet was not going to walk back to my place after that long exciting and interesting journey down the canal.

I think it probably comes from eating fresh every day and they need to keep tons of it available. To say that I am blown away is an understatement when we are talking luscious fruits and veggies that literlly line every available street.

It is amazing how Thai people shop for fruit and veggies every day i think they only buy enough for that night and then pick up fresh again on the next day on there way home. Amazingly i have seen these vendors sell out buy the end of the evening there is a lot of people to feed here and they eat well and lots.

I do not cease to be amazed at the variety of fruits and vegetables! a lot of greenery! do people really buy all this from them?
Amazingly enough they sell out every day Thai people do enjoying eating they have snacks all day long :)
