"This Ain't A Museum, This Junk Is For Sale!" (WARNING! One old, nude photo)

That is the sign in Burl's, the little bar-b-q joint we stopped at for lunch. The sandwich was fantastic, the staff was hilarious and the shop almost made me wish they had taken a little longer to fix my food! It was the hog out front that lured us in, real southern style pulled pork with cole slaw is one of the things we have missed since we left Arkansas.

Siren Of Sandwiches

Once inside, I discovered another hog - a razorback in pewter! These Arkansans do love their hogs! The shiny fellow was tucked back down a hallway just inside the door along with a very odd collection of stuff.

Who Would Not Want Pewter Pig?

The pig we were really interested in was across this counter... You can see there was a pretty good crowd, and this was about 2:00 PM. These folks keep busy, even in this rural area. Quality still counts for something in some places!

Someone here collects Native American artifacts

While we waited for our lunch, we acted like it was a museum and wandered around admiring the "junk" on display. This pair was very interesting, although I cannot say it was really attractive. Mostly odd...

Those are all arrowheads, stuck sideways in the wood.

A section of the shop was pretty much a typical store, but if you check the ceiling and walls you will note it is not exactly your standard market.

If you need a bag of chips and an old tricycle, they have you covered.

The find of the day was hanging on the wall. It had a simple wooden frame. The matting looked like a piece of construction paper. What it displayed made me laugh out loud... and consider buying that trike for fishy... 😜

I love this little out of the way places. They have all the charm and character that supermarkets lack!

This place was awesome, the staff was laughing and joking the whole time. It makes the food taste better when happy people fix it!
