My entry for #marketfriday initiated by @dswigle this week we take a spin around a motor car dealership and look at the muscle car market of Dubai.
All of those supercars that you may have seen in the movies are here and in abundance. Lamborghini's, Ferrari's, Maclaren's , Bugatti's are just about everywhere you go in the city.
So car manufacturers and dealers catering for the general public have to up their game. This first car is the same model and has a paint job like the Bubble Bee character from the movie Transformers. This is a Camaro by Chevrolet.
What's the difference between these cars and the supercars? About $1,000.000 give or take a few hundred thousand.
They are all super swanky and as cheap as chips due to Dubai's tax system
When you can see these kinds of supercars every day in Dubai the local car dealers have a big mountain to climb.
And so the manufacturers build cars that look just as good. Well almost. Many people wouldn't know the difference I assume. At least those people that know little about cars. Myself included.
I think these are either Corvettes or Mustangs. I'm sure one of you guys will be able to identify which is which?
They look fast even when standing still.

Like every business sector in Dubai you can find all the top car dealers easily as they are all; mainly on one road. The E11 which runs through the centre of the city.

I just love American muscle cars they just have that tough mean streak about them with a lot of power and character i have always been a fan of American sports cars and have owned quite a few of them my latest beast that i own is a 1985 Potintac TransAm the one from the movie " Knight Rider " known as "Kit " played David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight.
The white car you mention you were not sure what it was well that is the " 2017 Chevrolet Camaro "

That is a powerful and good looking car and thanks for the info on the model and make. A friend of mine in England had an old Camaro back in the early '80's. it was incredible powerful.
I like the way these cars sit on the road. My son had the model of the 'Kit' car from the Knight Rider TV show. It was his pride and joy.

Yep i trust him he has a lot of respect for cars he is the automobile industry in repairing and resorting cars....loves his job and cars :)
Personally owning one of these muscle cars, and from experience of working at a car dealership. I've learned that these muscle cars are simply just small lighter vehicles with huge V8 motors inside the engine bay. Most of the time the motor comes from a truck in the same brand line, but none the less, forced induction modifications (Turbos and supercharger/prochargers)
turn a regular old Dodge Challenger(Dodge's Brand Muscle car) into a Hellcat Challenger(insane factory horsepower and torque, supercharged).
That sounds like a great example of this marque. I bet it goes like a rocket with that big lump of an engine. The power to rate ratio must be incredible.
those were all camaros and corvette, none of them was a mustang:)

They sure do look sweet. I wouldn't dive one coz I am cheap and also the deer are always getting hit here. and the front of the that car would scoop a deeer right into the windshield.
That would make a bit of a mess for sure but on the upside...free meat lol
Corvette is Chevrolet and a Mustang is Ford. I know that much. Vancouver sounds a little Dubai. Lots of very expensive cars drive down Robson.
