The ad just target blames the whole market for the faults of a few bad individuals as a cultural phenomenon the message could have been done in a better non-confrontational way this was meant to rile viewers.
Also youtube is playing a game and pretending that the Dislike button only has 1 Million Dislikes when it was clearly 5 million and removing the votes on purpose. If that is not manipulation to a target narrative and to avoid it being put in the top 3 of Wikipedia's most disliked Video List I don't know what is.

It is a trend though

It's not "the faults of a few bad individuals," it's a culture based on violence that has been connected to masculinity for centuries.

Men do not have an intrinsic sin or evil within them that they must spend their whole lives to atone for. While the intention may have been to challenge learned behavior what it actually does is send a message to men and to boys that they are evil and acting in a boyish way is a bad thing and that is the real issue with this ad.
