The creation of human colonies on Mars is a fundamental objective for humanity, so it is necessary to build cities that allow them to survive in that hostile territory and precisely in that work in the United Arab Emirates.
Authorities announced the construction of a prototype of a Martian city that mimics the conditions of the planet Mars, allowing scientists to develop technology to meet human needs in space.
The spectacular Mars Science City
In the next century, the first human colonies are expected to be established on Mars, but beforehand it is necessary to create the necessary resources for people to live there, with scientists from the United Arab Emirates who are working hard to develop the technologies that require such an important mission.
The authorities of the Arab country announced the construction of their Mars Science City, a prototype of a Martian city composed of different domes in which not only seek to provide environmental conditions compatible with human life, but also with other important aspects such as cultivation food.
The Mars Science City will be built on a land of 177 thousand square meters recreating part of the conditions of the planet Mars that will be submitted to those who inhabit this experimental city.
Designed by the Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, this city is part of the UAE project to bring humans to Mars in 2117, with an investment of $ 136 million dollars to build their different areas.
Each Mars Science City dome will have a purpose; from laboratories to manage energy generation, drinking water and food crops to "houses" in which those who are in charge of the project will live for a year.
To recreate the conditions of Mars, the domes will have a special insulation to imitate as best as possible the differences of temperature and gravity with respect to the Earth, although those in them will not be subjected to dangerous radiation.
Not everything will be laboratories and structures that simulate life on Mars, as Mars Science City also contemplates the creation of a museum open to the public with information on space exploration and progress in the mission to bring humans to Mars, all through ultra elements technologies that promise to delight anyone.
Thanks to this prototype of the Martian city in the United Arab Emirates, scientists will be able to develop the technological advances needed to create human colonies on Mars, all within a project that will show results in the next 100 years.

Honestly hoping the beginnings of a martian colonization project happens in my lifetime. Not too unlikely, at the rate we're advancing now. Anyone want to place a bet on which decade we'll start putting permanent structures on Mars?
My money's on the 2050's. Humanity has a strange fascination with even numbers, and estimates on AI reaching a singularity hang around the 20 year mark. I can't imagine it would take us long to find a use for a colony by then, despite the cost.
