We've been socked in with a solid gray blanket above us for about 9 days now but finally there was a break. Mars and Saturn were the only participants tonight, along with a bit of strangeness. Saturn was coming in fine but then all of a sudden it couldn't be focused even though by eye there weren't any clouds passing over it. It didn't make sense so I don't know what happened. Then all of a sudden flashing lights went below Saturn, but they seemed to just appear out of nowhere without any flashing beforehand. They were heading right to left but there wasn't even a faint flicker seen by eye.
