It sounds like you're also learning to separate yourself from your emotions - to let them tell you what you need to know without bowing down to them and letting them dictate your actions. I think you're on a great path here.

I have always been analytical but I am getting much better at it - I used to be lost for days in emotional spirals. I really do feel like I'm improving day by day as far as my emotional rigor and resilience.
