Greetins!
This time I come to talk about the Algebra and the Arhythmics, two branches of Mathematics, which have a very obvious similarity. Let us begin:
Before everything begins to define the concepts of Arhythmics and Algebra.
- Arithmetic: the term "Arithmetic" is derived from the Greek word meaning "Number". Arhythmics is the most basic branch of mathematics, it focuses on everything that has to do with numbers, is the branch most used by people in their day to day. This branch of Mathematics works with the 4 main operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. In other words, it is simply responsible for performing different types of calculations using numbers.
- Algebra: this word derives from Arabic "al-Jabr" old term whose meaning could be said to be "reunion of broken pieces". Algebra is considered as the second level of Mathematics(First is Arhythmics). Unlike the Arhythmics that is based entirely on numbers, the Algebra introduces letters, better known as Variables, which as its name says, these do not tend to have a fixed value, but rather we must give the values in the operations that are presented to us. These are usually expressed with the letters: X, Y, W, and Z.
Algebra is based on several rules that must be followed in order to work with arithmetic operations. A part that uses products, factorizations, quadratic binomials, etc., to solve different fundamental problems.
Differences
Arhythmics, as it is the most basic of branches of mathematics, deals with the basic analysis of numbers; through the use of operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. | While the Algebra, it becomes the second level among the branches of mathematics and uses both numbers and variables to solve problems. |
We have 14 + 16 = 30, which is an arithmetic expression because concrete numbers and a solution are given. | But, if you give us an algebraic formula, we will write it like this: a + b = 30. This formula is a model for all the sums that result in the figure of 30, such as 20 + 10, 11 + 19, 18 + 12, and many other variants. |
