RE: Asian handicap betting quiz: win 5 SBD! / Asiatisches Handicap-Wettquiz: 5 SBD zu gewinnen!

Congrats: I declare you as winner of this quiz, because all your numbers are correct. :)

Concerning your maths I still have a question though: why did you write the gross winning of the bet on team B would be 2880 euro in case of a draw? They are half the stake (1920 euro / 2) multiplied by 2.00 = 1920 euro! The net winnings are 1920 euro minus the stake = 960 euro.
In case of a win of team B you win gross: 1920 euro * 2.00 = 3840 euro as you wrote. The net winnings are 3840 euro - 1920 euro = 1920 euro.

-> Thus the difference of the net winnings which you must balance is 1920 euro - 960 euro = 960 euro. (Not 3840 euro - 2880 euro. :-) ). Fortunately for you the difference is the same even if calculated in a different way so you got the correct stake for the bet on the draw, too. :)

great calculation, i was confuse with multiple calculation, hehe, i just found that result, but i doubt it.

Thanks very much! Winning received!

On your question, I think it depends on how you consider the returned stake? I haven't seen asian handicap odds before so I'm not sure how it would work in practice! But I assume that, on a betting website say, you would have to put down the full 1920 stake and then would receive 3840 back if B wins and 2880 back if it's a draw (1920 gross winnings and 960 returned stake) and 0 if A wins? So I guess I'm looking at it more in terms of cashflows. So you're right, where I've put "winnings" I should perhaps say something like "cashflows"!

Actually reading your text I think we just have a different way to say the same: you say what you get back (and consider the stake as already spent). I consider the whole winnings and then subtract the stake ... :)
