On May 4th, due to the owner's failure to respond, American activists led by Labor activist August Spice moved to the market place in the city of Chicago. A police officer was killed when a bomb exploded on police. At that time, 10/12 workers were killed in police firing. Then he arrested nine people including the leader.

On November 11, 1887, six people were hanged in a jail, and another 15 years were freed. In 1904, the demands of the Socialists held at the Amsterdam International Conference on Amsterdam and the establishment of peace demand for eight hours of daily work.
Responding to this, almost all labor organizations of the world decided not to work compulsively on 01 May and the workers demanded to observe the 01 May as a public holiday. Since then, May Day has been officially celebrated as a holiday. Slowly the significance of this day spread to different parts of the world including Russia, China, Bangladesh and India
