RE: Manipulating bodies in Advertising

in #media6 years ago (edited)

The Media lives by three rules. LIE, Cheat and Fool.

Loved the video and it was very revealing what people get up to when manipulating images to 'enhance' beauty etc. It's just I feel you're being more a than a little disingenuous with the claim I quote if you're lumping all media sources together (if that's your intention). Fashion magazines are not going to sell many copies if they post pictures of ugly people. We know that. Hence, it's understandable that they take the opposite tack and make pretty women as beautiful as they can.

Women have been wearing make-up for a fair few years now.

If the quote's meant to apply to all media in general, then it comes across as more than a little Trumpian. Ie. embarrassingly / shamefully dishonest. And we all know he can hardly tell the truth ever, don't we?

Sort:

I appreciate all perspectives others have but my perspective is FAR from "enhance" make-up? sure but photo-shopping? complete LIE and Manipulation of Truth.

To bring Trump into this shows ignorance.... go back to sleep SHEEP.

Ah, so you ARE a trumpette?

Sweet. :D

So what exactly are you?

A billionaire tax dodger? ("Yeah, right!" ;) )
A humble racist bigot?
A small-minded homophobe?
A misogynist (woman-hater)?
A mindless moron who doesn't know his arse from his elbow but still feels the need to post shite on social media?

A bit of a mixed-bag?

Or are you just really into make-up? ;) ;) ;)
