This question has a broad answer. First of all, presence of blood in a urine is a condition known as hematuria.
Hematuria simply implies that there's a something wrong with the normal functioning of the body system.
Presence of blood in urine does not specifically describe a particular disease condition or disorder, it is a symptom that is present in many health conditions.
Hematuria can present as a symptom in several conditions such as bladder cancer, urinary tract infection, microhematuria, kidney stone, kidney disease, helminthic diseases, liver disease etc.
Urine can also be detected through urine test or urinalysis. Whenever you notice blood in your urine, it's important one reports to a medical facility or sees a doctor, it may not imply an alarming situation but it indicates that something is wrong with the physiology of human body.
