Let’s talk about morning routines. This is one of the most important times of my day, and a huge host of the most successful people in the world (Barack Obama, Winston Churchill, Steve Jobs) use them to wake up and start the day with clarity, enabling them to succeed as soon as the day begins.
MOST peoples mornings sound like…”Every morning I get up, boil the kettle, rush into the shower, quickly make a coffee while brushing my teeth, then run into the car with an apple I dont end up eating.”
Lets take that rushed, stressed, and hazy morning and replace it with one that leaves you energised and ready. I’ll share with you a few ways for you to develop a morning routine that I personally use. You dont need to use all of these steps, even 10 minutes every morning is enough to leave you feeling focused and ready.
Step 1 – Include some form of meditation, yoga, or breathing exercise.
This is the most important step in the process. If I told you that you could get huge benefits to your mind, health, emotional stability, and all around life by sitting still, surely you would take me up on it.
As soon as you get up, do not check your phone or any social media, emails, or texts. Go to a pre-designated place and sit quietly for 10-60 minutes. 10 minutes of properly performed meditation can leave your mind clear and refreshed while enabling you better control over your emotions. Check out this great TED talk on the exact topic: https://www.ted.com/talks/andy_puddicombe_all_it_takes_is_10_mindful_minutes?language=en
If you have the time, I highly recommend aiming more towards the 30 minute mark. Meditation is one of the most amazing tools at our disposal, use it!
Step 2 – Read a book
Not just any book, read one that is inline with your current goals. Do you want to start a business? Read a book on it. Do you want to learn more about marketing, you should be reading about it. Your ability to educate yourself will directly correlate with how successful you are. Not to mention reading directly after meditation means you are filling a fresh, clear mind with information that is important and helping you succeed.
I like to make a cup of green tea and read until I’ve finished the tea. No time constraints, no need to rush, and no pressure. Just read as many pages as necessary.
Step 3 – Review your goals for the day
The next most important thing to do in the sequence, is to ensure you’ve gone over your goals for the day. I like to list them in order of 1-5. The first is the most important absolute must get done for the day, and the following are tasks I also need to get finished. If you can look at the list at the end of the day and see that you actually got errands and tasks done, you feel a lot happier with yourself.
Done.
Thats it. Simple. If you meditate for 30 minutes, read for 10-15 minutes, and set your goals (5 minutes) you have a 50 minute practice to ensure success. If you don’t have that much time, I recommend doing some meditation, and quickly setting your goals for the day. If that means 15 minutes of total routine, then that’s better than nothing.
This simple task will improve your life immensely. Give it a shot and let me know the results!

Thank you!
sure i'll verify my other blog, im just working out how!
Link back to your steemit post on it would work.
Sure, now wordpress is giving me a solid headache because I haven't used it in a year, is there another way? I can take a photo of me next to the settings on wordpress haha, or even take a photo of the original drafts on this computer.
Is there an email address I can send proof of my wordpress account with the blog on it?
I understand a link is simpler, but im sure my wordpress account has just gone into decommission mode from not being used.
