Meditation | 2 – Preparing for meditation

in #meditation7 years ago (edited)

The environment, the position of the body, music or no music and become aware of your body and breath. These are the first things to choose from. During the first approach to meditation these basic choices are relatively important, to then become less influential later; This is because step by step we will always have better command of our technique, it will be easier to focus, and then, slipping quickly into our inner and outer journey.

The environment where meditate

First we have to choose the place where meditate, it depends undoubtedly by the environments and related spaces in our willingness, also generally everyone has a favorite one. Obviously if we could always would choose to meditate on the seashore, or in the middle of a mountain forest, or on the banks of a river; perhaps with the water flowing and the symphony of the trees swaying, outside the busy city and away from loud noises. However for many this is currently not possible, but do not worry because meditating in the city will make you even stronger masters 😉
Therefore it is not always possible to meditate in an environment closely related to nature but not give up, indeed, when we will be able to meditate in the classic home environments, citizens, we will have become really strong. Then, when we get a chance to meditate in the middle of nature, we will be inundated with magnificent sensations, we will have the ability to absorb all the energies around us and use them to connect with intensity with the universal source.

Sometimes I talk about the criticality of meditation and often I hear this:

– “There is no comparison! Meditating in nature has a completely different flavor and intensity. ” –
Only a few wise people have confirmed to me that this is true, meditate in nature has a different flavor and a different energy. However, we both agree that often give too much weight to the environment is wrong, is not part of the real goal. It is when we can meditate in the city, noisy and relatively hostile environments that we are really arrived. Meditation aims to become estranged from the physical body and all that stuff around us, then, what difference should be in the place where do it? Why give importance to the environment if in the end the goal of meditation is to fly through other dimensions, travel with the imagination, create worlds that do not exist until such time as we do not show them, all thanks to the power of our infinite creativity and imagination.

Another is when ” you meditate” with open eyes, for example, if we want to enjoy the “sun guzing” wich i consider a very powerful practice; in this case it will be permissible to be in a place least mackerel from noise and smog of the city. In conclusion you can meditate anywhere, creating a fantastic personal dimension. I know it’s hard to focus and let go of the thousand thoughts of hectic everyday life, and therefore also the place where we meditate has its importance, but do not give it too much weight. If it inspires you to meditate on the couch, or on a stable chair, or rather on your bed, or in the garden (if you have one available), or on the mat after a yoga lesson with other people around. Once you get started and overcome the first obstacles we all face during this magical journey.

The meditation free our soul, is meant to make us appreciate the connection between the Earth and nature, between our heart and our soul; and then, between the pineal gland and the abstract doors of the sub-conscious, to the infinite Universe kingdom.

The position of the body

Some people meditate in the lotus position (legs crossed, back straight and hands clasped on his lap or between the legs), there are those who meditate sitting in a chair (with your back straight and hands resting on the legs), or meditator is lying on the bed (with his head resting on a good pillow), who makes lying on a yoga mat (with your hands beside your body and open hands up), or who leans back down a rigid wall with legs stretched forward.
You would think that some “classical positions” (such as the lotus), favorite so far the quality of our practice of meditation. No one can have the truth in pocket but comparing them with different people and reading here and there, honestly this is not conclusive. The activation of our energy centers and the flow of life blood, occur regardless of the physical location of the body; However, this may affect our ability to relax, to focus and thus to meditate effectively and efficiently.

Convenience therefore is relatively important since it is not easy to keep out of our minds all the gross daily thoughts that bounce inside. If we begin to ponder this: the mind becomes assailed by more or less important thoughts, and at the same time we have an itch in the leg due to contact with the fabric of the couch, or feel a sharp pain in his knee a little ‘ill-placed taking the lotus position, or even begin to lament his back after a few minutes, etc … Well in that case it will be really hard!

Music yes or no

Generally soothing music can help us keep out every thought, to remain focused on our body and then abandon ourselves to our mystical journey. Indeed music has therapeutic and relaxing properties, often resulting used during meditation practices. However, even on this topic you will be just you the best judge for yourself because the variables that can affect your choice are endless.
About types of music that you claim can help us in the practice of meditation, schools of thought are different, but you can try them in an easy way. Today, thanks to Google but especially in this case, You Tube, you can enter the most appropriate keywords to get very interesting symphonies. Some speak of real frequencies vibrating at levels most suitable for meditation, then try it!

Neighbors are so noisy that made you prefer to use the headphones in your ears and isolate yourself in your world? You live near a park and therefore like to meditate with the only product substrate by the natural elements that surround you? Or maybe you love silence, only becoming aware of noises that received during the physiological functions of your body? Well, you have no choice but to follow your preferences! Meditation even before it reached in effect asks you immediately to put you in the condition to you more congenital and relaxing, it really is a triumph of feeling good, listen yourself and then, the build.

The sub-conscious projects us into the infinite cosmos, multi dimensional, as is infinite creative power at our disposal. Don’t focus on “where” to meditate, it is important to succeed to get connected with the magic frequencies that lurk in the Universe infinite.

Be aware of body and breath

Many masters, gurus and meditation schools attach great importance to this fourth and final point. In fact you will certainly have heard that meditation should be done by harmonizing the breath, becoming aware of the various parts of the body, and so on. For me these aspects must be considered in the first moments of preparation for meditation, then quickly abandoned.
Often you hear advice to control your breathing, or to count the breaths, to extend their reach, but I believe that every force or induced automatism is not the best solution. For “newbies in the industry” is critical to keep at bay a thousand thoughts that arise from worldly routine, and this can certainly be achieved through concentrating on the breath, or by making contact with the various parts of the body, or with the ‘ listening to the internal organs, for example listening to the heartbeat.

However when we will begin to immerse ourselves in our travels we fancy quickly, and there’s no need to impose any of these techniques, these types of focus on the body or on the breath will become unimportant. Thank our heart and we will perceive a warm and intense energy, we will be invaded by a feeling of amazing love and its beats will be in harmony with the totality of our trip.
So we will not be particularly focused only on the basis of the beats, rather than the rhythm of our breathing, or rather on the fact that the right foot is cold and on the left we perceive a certain tingling. Good! now we are really ready to travel through the visual meditation, I want to share with you my experiences honed just following my instincts and my soul.

Set meditation in the most comfortable position, in a congenial environment, in silence or with a pleasant background; and still make contact with our body, with the breath and with heartbeats, all this are important choices during the first approach to meditation.

” At the beginning every little “distraction” and every little “discomfort” can affect our concentration; often we will have the hateful feeling of having lost the concentration and being thrown back into the real world, rational, practical, and so we’ll have to start all over again.
Once we have reached the best personal technique of meditation the choices above, there will be just a detail. We will sink in our new sub-conscious dimension in no time, for the right time we need, anywhere, anytime. Sometimes you’ll meditate long, sometimes meditate for a few minutes, and that is because we will be guided by what we call instinct, and it never lies. “

The rule of thumb is always to surrender to the will of our “inner self”, which becomes higher self and gives us the best meditative experience that we need at that moment. <<<
